Hanging Out in the Jungle

posted by Rachel
After school my friends and I hung out at the park and ate some ice cream. I paid for the ice cream. After we finished we went home. But my friend asked if she could have a sleepover and my mum said yes! We were watching T.V and eating ice cream all day. We had the best time ever.

Birthdays

By Eric

I enjoy celebrating my birthday and other people’s too. When it’s a friend’s birthday, I bring presents like a hot wheel car or tracks for them. We eat cake, I especially like chocolate cake.

The best sort of party is a swimming party but a treasure hunt is good too.

The best food I've tasted

by Joshua

Life in Port Moresby is really fun especially the food - it’s great! The places I go to buy food is...Big Rooster, Kenmaity Fried Chicken and Boroko Foodworld.

I like Big Rooster because of its fried chicken and chips, I like KMC (Kenmaity Fried Chicken) because of its ice cream and I like Boroko Food World because of its cake and brownies. It tastes really good.

Thanks for reading my blog.

Trip to Loloata

Posted by Olive

At our school grade three to grade eight goes for an excursion somewhere, every year. From Prep to grade two don’t go on trips. Grades three to grade four go to Loloata, and this year I am in grade three and I have already gone to Loloata.

To get there we had to go on a big ferry to get to the island. Once we got to the island, we got shown where we were going to stay for two days. After we unpacked we got into two groups. One group was going to go snorkelling while the other group was going to walk around the island. The boys walked around the whole island, but we girls went halfway because most of the girls were so tired. After returning back to the main place we got some starfish and put them back in the water. Then we had a delicious lunch.

In the evening we had dinner. After dinner we had some ice-cream and cheese cake for desert. A while after that we had roasted marshmallows. Then my friends and I went inside and played some card games and told some stories, then went to bed.

In the afternoon we went back to school and our parents picked us up, and we went back home. It was great fun.

Welcome

Hi,

We are class 3IJ in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG). On this blog, we will tell you about our class, life in Port Moresby and stuff that happens at our school.

Our school is usually quite fun, sometimes it is even exciting. We have sports and swimming carnivals, a big celebration for Independence Day, Mufti Days (where we can wear our own clothes), Discos, excursions and every year the grade 7 and 8’s put on a fun day with lots of games including soaking teachers with sponges. This school is the best and coolest in Port Moresby!

Like lots of children, we love lunch and recess because we are free and can play games we enjoy. We escape the evil Jokesta, also known as our teacher, Mrs. Julius (just joking- she’s not that bad).

Read on to find out more about us and our school. Enjoy.
